Methodology

How BriefLoft develops practical proposal guidance.

BriefLoft resources are designed around the questions a client and service provider need to resolve before work begins. They are starting points, not universal agreements.

1. Begin with the decision

Each template or guide starts with a real commercial task: define the outcome, scope, deliverables, timeline, price, responsibilities, usage, revisions, or next step.

2. Match the engagement type

Fields and examples vary by proposal type. Consulting, creative production, UGC, licensing, agency work, retainers, and website projects require different assumptions and terms.

3. Separate examples from facts

Names, prices, dates, deliverables, and terms shown in examples are illustrative. Users are expected to replace them with accurate engagement details and remove anything that does not apply.

4. Surface limitations

A proposal may not replace a contract, statement of work, purchase order, or specialist legal and tax advice. The appropriate documents depend on the engagement and jurisdiction.

5. Review and update

Published resources are reviewed for clarity, product alignment, and material changes. Corrections can be reported through Support.
